From the stable of one of Africa’s leading female gospel singers comes this new song that accompanies the mind all day. EFE Nathan has done it again with a medley version of one of her beloved singles ‘I Declare’.
This medley is a remix of a 2011 version of ‘I Declare’ from her second album ‘A New Level’. The album featured songs such as ‘Still within the Flow’ and ‘Lift Your Hands’, which features Mike Abdul of the Midnight Crew. Those of us who heard the previous version were introduced to the definition of soul gospel. EFE, who describes her music as CONTAF (Contemporary African), sure has a way of weaving soulful tunes into danceable, sing-along hits.
‘The lyrics of ‘I Declare’ kept going through my mind and when it was time to go back into the studio, I knew I just had to do that song again to declare God’s awesomeness, mighty Hand and His power over lives especially my own, these past few months and over the years. I don’t praise God because I am emotional; the reason I praise God the way I do is because I almost died in a situation, but God snatched me out! I owe Him praise,” EFE said.
‘I Declare Medley’, produced by Bode Afolabi, premieres across Africa and beyond, today!
